Like most families, the kitchen was the heart of my family’s home. Most of my memories involve the kitchen or a meal. The celebrations, the aromas and the meal-time chatter made me the foodie I am today.
As an adult, I worked in medical offices. Most recently, when the economy shifted so did my job. As I searched for a new job, my husband pointed out that food has always been the thing that stirs my soul, saying: “You love the kitchen and light up when the conversation turns to food.”
With my husband’s push, I set off to learn all I could about food, finishing culinary school and working as a personal chef. That’s where I discovered my love for the creativity and artistry in making CAKES! I love that I can conceive an idea and translate it into a beautiful, edible work of art.
Today, I live in Arizona with my family. I founded Dolce Art Cakes so I can share my passion for creating edible art. At Dolce Art Cakes, you will find me working to turn sugar-paste pieces into something amazing to behold, delicious to consume and memorable long after the special occasion has passed.
